| 3-27-09 | The California Surf Museum in Oceanside had it's ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 26th. | |
| Several dignitaries were part of the festivities including Mayor Jim Wood, Peter Townsend the first World Professional Surfing Champion, Paul Strauch legendary Hawaiian surfer of the 1960's who served on the Duke Kahananamoku Surf Team, Micky Munoz, famed surfboard shaper who was the stunt double for Sandra Dee in the 1959 movie Gidget. Many companies donated their time and materials to the project including SunPro Tinting. SunPro installed several square feet of anti-graffiti film to the front windows of the museum. Anti-graffiti film is a clear sacrificial film applied to the exterior glass windows to protect against vandals from etching the glass. | ||
